African Activities Rubbish has become a global issue, and African Activities’ recycling workshop will make you think about where your waste ends up. Pupils will learn about children living on Ghana’s Agbogbloshie e-waste dump, the world’s largest electronics recycling centre, and will be able to make elephants, birds or African masks from a plastic milk bottle.

One Day! Creative These one-hour Creative Play workshops are designed to be a burst of creativity to keep children engaged. Wonderful World is a series of environmental workshops covering subjects such as Our Carbon Footprint and Rainy Rainforest, delivered through drama and movement. The Junk Funk & Scrap Rap workshop lets pupils make music together using household recyclable materials.

Bang On This energetic junk percussion duo provide workshops for children from Reception up to Year 8. Pupils will examine everyday objects and how they can be used to make a variety of sounds. A longer workshop also covers the importance of the three Rs – reduce, reuse and recycle. Both workshops begin with a 20-minute junk-drumming performance.
