Meritec created CPOMS, a child safeguarding solution which is now in 15,000 UK schools and 30 countries around the world.
Swansway Motor Group has surpassed £100,000 in donations to Circus Starr. The company donates £25 - enough to cover the cost of a ticket for a child and their carer to attend a fun show - for every Motability vehicle it sells. The most recent donation was made on behalf of Blackburn Audi, Preston Audi, and Volkswagen Van Centre Lancashire.
CPOMS was acquired back in 2019, however we retain much of the expertise within the Meritec business and continue to make a positive impact in the public sector whilst having a great reputation.

Work has commenced on a school for special educational needs children at Rainbow Hub in Mawdesley following approval of the planning application. The new school is being developed for children with physical disabilities whose families struggle to find an environment that can meet their physical, social and learning needs.
The annual Trevor Dawson Charity Golf Day raised £7,000 for the Blackburn and Darwen Youth Zone. Twenty-one teams competed at Clitheroe Golf Club, with K2 Storage Solutions taking the top prize following a card play-off with Thwaites.

Euxton-based Roq invited seven Lancashire schools to take part in its Defectives Secondary School Competition. The aim of the competition was to inspire students and help them recognise the benefits of pursuing a career in tech. More than 130 pupils took part, looking for bugs and glitches on live, real-world websites. Balshaw’s Catholic High School was the winner.
