New Dawn for Veolia Water Technologies UK in Birmingham
Leading specialist in water treatment technologies, Veolia Water Technologies UK (VWT UK) has reaffirmed its commitment to its UK’s Municipal and Industrial customers by taking a 10-year office lease at a new facility at the Birmingham Business Park. The move highlights the company’s ambition to continuously improve its delivery of technologies and services innovations throughout the UK.
VWT UK has worked in the UK water treatment industry for over 100 years. First starting as the Permutit Company, VWT UK has extended its operations across the country in that time. In 1998, the company established an office in Birmingham and began working out of Aqua House, until its growth plans prompted a move.
Located in the heart of the Midlands, adjacent to Birmingham airport and International rail station; the future HS2 Interchange station and some of the UK's major motorway links, the new office is ideally situated for both customers and employees of the future. The new Birmingham office is now VWT UK’s centre for process expertise and project managers, supporting VWT UK’s Technology Projects activity in the UK. The bespoke office
design is the perfect environment for collaboration across VWT UK’s municipal and industrial water treatment experts including the engineering (mechanical, electrical and CAD), process and project management teams.
Speaking on the decision to relocate, Martyn Fisher, CEO at Veolia Water Technologies UK Northern Europe said: "Our new facility on the Birmingham Business Park has been designed to provide the type of modern, fresh and open environment which encourages good team communication and innovation, critical to our ambitions to grow Veolia's Technology Projects activities in the UK. Our former construction projects activity has been based on the business park for over 20 years, but this new office offers better facilities for employees, and it is fitted with the latest IT
services and equipment to facilitate efficient working, whether in office or at home. I am sure all our current and future employees will appreciate the step-up in the quality of their work environment, as well as benefiting from the excellent road and public transport infrastructure."
