Jet Aire appoints Regional Manager for Yorkshire


Drainage company, Jet Aire Services, has appointed Neil Meakins as regional manager for Yorkshire to support operations from its Leeds head office.


Neil will be overseeing the delivery of a wide range of professional drainage services, with key responsibilities for regional teams in excavation, high-pressure water jetting, CCTV surveying and pipe re-lining. Following a period of military service, he joined the industry 21 years ago and has gained a wealth of experience through various management and consultancy roles in drainage, waste management and related industrial services. Neil has worked for some of the UK’s biggest names in the sector and has a proven track record in managing large-scale operations.


Jet Aire Services managing director, Darren Pavan, said:


“Neil will be a tremendous asset for Jet Aire’s Yorkshire operation. He knows our industry inside-out and understands the synergy between waste management and industrial services. Neil will use that knowledge and experience to main exceptionally high standards throughout our service delivery and support continued expansion in Jet Aire’s key markets, including utilities, chemical processing, energy, highways, transport and facilities management.”

Jet Aire’s range of professional drainage


services also includes sewer cleansing and clearance, tankering, waste disposal, infiltration sealing, robotic cutting, root cutting, industrial tank cleaning and epoxy spray coating. The company has accreditation with ISO9001 and ISO14001 Quality Management as well as OHSAS 18001 certification for Occupational Health and Safety Management.


EAL & City & Guilds win contract to deliver all three T level routes in Engineering and Manufacturing


City & Guilds in collaboration with specialist engineering awarding organisation EAL, were awarded the contracts to deliver three engineering and manufacturing T Levels, following a tender process. This is following the success of our winning partnership to deliver construction qualifications in Wales and the T Level in Construction: Building Services Engineering last year. They are:





Engineering and Manufacturing: Manufacturing, Processing and Control


 Engineering and Manufacturing: Maintenance, Installation and Repair





Engineering and Manufacturing: Design and Development


In addition, City & Guilds has also been awarded the contract to deliver a T Level in Business and Administration: Management and Administration.


The introduction of T levels forms a major shift in the provision of technical education for students post 16 in England, offering an
