PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF PLYMOUTH

As a Petroc student studying on a partnership course with the University, you are part of a wider community of 13,000 Plymouth students studying off-campus at one of 32 partner institutions.


Petroc is a member of the University’s partner college network, bringing university-level courses to students across the South West. The partnership works closely with employers to develop degrees and other higher-level qualifications designed to increase student employment and career progression prospects.


You will benefit from the services Petroc provides as well as the extra support and resources on offer at the University’s campus. Together, we aim to offer the benefits of a large university with all the advantages of being taught in a smaller community atmosphere.


As a partner college student, you can access online University services, use its library, electronic resources and learning support materials through its web-based student portal (including access to the Careers & Employability Service online careers information portal and jobs board). You can link with its Students’ Union (UPSU) and access sports clubs, societies, the advice service, volunteering opportunities, student representation and University sports facilities.

The Higher Education Graduation ceremony takes place each October, and provides the perfect opportunity to celebrate our students’ fantastic achievements.


Last year, proud friends and family gathered in Barnstaple to congratulate more than one hundred of our graduates as they paraded through the town centre, alongside local dignitaries, before taking part in a prestigious ceremony.
