FINDING INFORMATION
Petroc and the University of Plymouth provide a wide range of information resources, supporting your use of relevant and reliable information in your studies. This information comes in many formats, including books, e-books, e-resources, and subject specific journals, books and DVDs. Chromebooks and various recording devices are also available for loan with your student card and most items can be renewed and reserved online.

QUIET PLACES TO STUDY
You’ll find silent or quiet, relaxed and comfortable places to work at Petroc. All areas have computers which can be pre- booked on or off site using the MyPC booking system. There are friendly, experienced and knowledgeable members of staff on hand to offer assistance. All computers in the study areas have a range of accessibility programmes, and we can also provide specialist equipment if required.
WORKSHOPS & SUPPORT
All Higher Education students are given a series of specialist workshops designed to help them succeed in their chosen subjects. These workshops are embedded within the timetable and include subject research using the University of Plymouth and Petroc resources, research skills and referencing, and plagiarism awareness.
BOOK DELIVERY SERVICE
There is a book delivery service between the campuses in Barnstaple, Tiverton and Brannams, enabling access to any of the Petroc print resources wherever you are based. You may also order books from the University of Plymouth through Library Services.
SUPPORTING YOU FINANCIAL HELP
Student loans and grants are available from Student Finance to help with the cost of tuition fees and living expenses. Visit

ADDITIONAL SUPPORT
We want to ensure that you have the support that you need to complete your course. You should highlight any medical/learning needs clearly at the application stage, so we can discuss it at interview and ensure you are made aware of the most appropriate support options available.
TRANSPORT
It is possible to purchase a bus pass through the college; please visit the college website for more information and to apply. If you plan to drive to college, you can apply for an annual parking permit.
