WHAT WE DO: Travel Ledger is an industry-run billing and settlement platform for the travel industry that promises to automate the travel purchasing process along the entire distribution chain. Travel Ledger will replace the current billing, reconciliation and settlement process to make it fast, easy and inexpensive to transact non-airline provided travel services. It is built using blockchain and smart contract technology, making its distribution quick and cost-effective.
WHAT’S NEW: The company has completed the first phase of development and presented a first version of its functioning user interface and version 0.1 of the
API. It has recently announced its advisory board of industry experts and is currently organising its next round of funding in order to bring the platform into production in 2019.
WHO WE’RE HOPING TO MEET: Travel Ledger wants to meet any B2B buyers and sellers of travel products who want to get involved in this development phase or want to become members of the consortia once the platform is launched. Membership cost will be nominal, but open exclusively to companies operating within the travel industry. Travel Ledger also wants to meet other travel technology companies interested in integrating with the platform or who want to develop their own applications on the platform. The company will have incentives and revenue opportunities for such technology companies, which is an extra reason to visit its stand.
