Admission Requirements
IN-PERSON & SERVICE-LEARNING PROGRAMS
All summer programs welcome applications from new applicants, returning applicants, and portfolio applicants. Summer program courses, except for 3-year-old parent-child courses, dedicated 4 year-old only courses, and Maker Space classes, have eligibility requirements for admission. Before beginning the online application, determine which type of applicant you are and the eligibility requirements, based on the descriptions provided on our website at
ctd.northwestern.edu/eligibility.
ONLINE PROGRAMS
All online programs welcome applications from new applicants, returning applicants, and portfolio applicants. Online courses, except for those in the Online Family Program, have eligibility requirements. Before beginning the online application, determine which type of applicant you are, and the eligibility requirements, based on the description provided on our website at
ctd.northwestern.edu/eligibility.
Application Process
Online applications are available through the MyCTD portal found at
my.ctd.northwestern.edu.
Completed applications are reviewed as they are received. Courses are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Although Center for Talent Development (CTD) tries to accommodate late applications, enrollment may not be possible.
Please be sure to complete the application online, including all supporting materials, as applications are reviewed only after all supporting documents and information have been received. Incomplete applications are not reviewed nor do they reserve a seat in the desired course, regardless of whether or not payment is included.
Once an enrollment decision is made, the admissions staff will notify the applicant via e-mail. The process takes approximately two weeks from the time a completed application is received.
Eligibility
Beginning in second grade, students who do not have required scores may apply as portfolio students to CTD summer programs.
For course specific eligibility requirements, including qualifying test score area (math, reading, or science), eligibility tier, and any prerequisites, please view individual course descriptions using the Explore Courses tool of the website.

I fit in with people who cared about their academic experience as much as I did. This was a new
feeling...it was an amazing experience that definitely
changed me. CTD STUDENT
