SPARKLY RESIN PENDANT & EARRINGS | BEGINNER

1: LAY OUT THE PIECES Place the perspex block from the resin kit onto a

piece of card. Lay the pendant flat and place the earring blanks into the holes to keep them flat during the resin process.

5: FILL IN THE BLANKS Use the mixing stick to pour a few drops of resin into

each earring blank. If necessary, use the mixing stick to carefully push the resin up to the edges of the blank. Continue adding drops of resin until a slight dome forms. Do the same to the pendant blank, then leave to set for at least 24hrs.

2: PROTECT YOUR SKIN Apply the Badger Balm or put on the latex gloves to

protect your hands.

3: MIX THE RESIN Using the scales, weigh your resin (1g is plenty for this

project) with 5% of this weight being the pink paste. Weigh your resin into a mixing pot at a ratio of two parts resin to one part hardener. (1g of resin with paste added and 0.5g of hardener).

6: FINISH Attach a Silver jump ring to the loop on the pendant

using a pair of flat pliers, then feed the chain through. Add your scrolls to the back of the studs and you’re complete.

4: ADD GLITTER Add a little glitter, stir slowly and well but not

vigorously, with a wooden stirrer. 4
