RESIN SPHERE DROP EARRINGS | INTERMEDIATE

HEALTH AND SAFETY To protect your skin and eyes we recommend

wearing gloves and safety glasses while using the liquid resin.

1: MIX THE RESIN Weigh out the 2g resin, tare the scale and then add 1g

of the hardener. Mix slowly using a mixing stick until the resin and hardener are thoroughly mixed.

3: POUR THE RESIN INTO

THE MOULD Gently pour the resin mixture into the mould. Again, tap the mould against the table to get rid of the air bubbles. Leave to set for 24 hours (it may take slightly longer if the room is cold). Once the resin is set, remove the sphere from the mould. If you are finding this difficult, do this while running it under warm water to make the mould more flexible. Repeat steps 1 to 3 so you have two resin spheres.

2: ADD THE MICA POWDER Add a small amount of the mica powder (I used

Aquamarine). Swirl it into the mixture, but do not completely mix it in. Tap the mixing pot against the table to bring any air bubbles to the surface.
