Passes equipment most of the time to a person already on board boat, with one lapse. Boards boat safely but in a manner that could lead to injury or falling overboard. Does not fully stabilize self with hands while boarding. Loads boat in a manner that is safe but impairs full maneuverability. Moves awkwardly while in the boat.

Fails to pay attention to the way the boat is attached to the point of departure. Fails to determine if boat is contacting the departure point (e.g., dock, slip, or pier) in a fashion that could cause damage. Attempts to carry equipment while embarking or debarking boat. Embarks/debarks in an unsafe manner. Moves abruptly and awkwardly in boat creating a potential hazard for passengers or self. Falls overboard or loads boat in a way that produces dangerous or unacceptable heel or trim.
