A day in the life…
Imagine yourself as a Qatar University student – this is what’s on off er
START AT HOME Living on campus you’ll be part of a vibrant community of new and returning students. It’s a comfortable base with lot of excellent facilities to make you feel at home. The QU student housing has a fully equipped fi tness centre, a TV hall, study lounge equipped with computers and a prayer room. There are security staff on site 24 hours a day, social and education programmes based around students’ interest and needs and car parking available. Shared and single rooms are off ered.
HEADING OUT Qatar University has its very own dedicated stop on the Doha Metro and there’s an internal shuttle service to transport students from all the main buildings to that stop. This shuttle service — the Campus Express — also helps students get around between the university buildings.
TIME TO EAT There are a number of food and beverage off erings distributed across the campus in diff erent buildings, such as Starbucks and Sabah W Masa, as well as food courts for both female and male students – some even off er delivery services.
TO THE LIBRARY There’s an array of quiet study spaces all around the campus, but the QU library also provides an ideal environment for quiet study while also aiming to serve the community’s education and professional needs. The library off ers a host of services and facilities, including a digital multimedia production centre and a virtual reality lab.
LEARNING MORE The Community Service and Continuing Education Center off ers training courses in various disciplines such as language, business, management, fi nance, accounting, test preparation and information processing — these are available right through the academic year.
GET MOVING There are plenty of great sporting facilities to help you join a team, stay fi t and have fun: from the Olympic-standard stadium to the men’s aquatic centre, women’s sports hall and excellent sport courts, you’ll fi nd something to suit you whether you’re into tennis, athletics, handball, table tennis, volleyball or any of the many other sports on off er to those studying at Qatar University.
