WHY A part of Cornell University in the US, students of WCM-Q can expect expert tuition and research opportunities. Graduates of the WCM-Q Six-Year Medical Program are awarded the prestigious Cornell University Doctor of Medicine degree. The integrated Six-Year Medical Program is comprised of a two-year pre-medical curriculum and a four-year medical curriculum. Students get early exposure to patient experiences and participate in a longitudinal research experience. WCM-Q also offers a one-year Foundation Program, with intensive


training in the basic sciences, math and English to prepare for the Six-Year Medical Program.


HOW A single admission process (see website) determines entrance, with students required to demonstrate academic performance, professionalism and commitment to the profession of medicine to advance through the course. Students who have completed pre-medical education at other institutions can apply to the WCM-Q four-year medical curriculum. Qatar Foundation offers annual merit-based scholarships for returning full-time students who have completed two semesters with a GPA of 3.6 or higher.
