With the Middle East being so rich in natural gas and petroleum, Texas A&M University at Qatar is well positioned to offer degrees that teach students how to transform these resources into high-quality, marketable products such as fuels, lubricants and polymers. The


curriculum also provides a balanced education in all areas of chemical engineering, opening doors to key fields such as food and pharmaceutical processing, pollution control, water treatment and aerospace materials. Facilities include 23 well-equipped laboratories, a research wing featuring 30 research labs, 12 classrooms, three large lecture halls, four computer labs, a library and a spacious student lounge. Students have the opportunity to study for a semester at the university’s home campus in Texas, USA, as well as summer internships with local industry. They also can choose to work alongside faculty members to


collaborate on research projects of international significance and local relevance. The university also offers bachelor’s degrees in electrical, mechanical and petroleum engineering. The chemical engineering program doesn’t stop there – a master’s degree in chemical engineering is also offered.
