for contemplation, seclusion and tranquillity. All furniture is handmade from fine pear wood. When the open fire crackles softly and a freshly prepared tea fills the room with its scent, the senses relax. The historic box windows open onto a view of the lake, little-changed since 1740, when the first residents settled in Hallstatt. For those wanting even more space, the Royal
Suite WALD offers a generously sized living area and modern design with classic elements, such as the stucco ceilings. From the four-poster bed, the expansive views over the lake are a treat. The private luxury Deluxe Suite HOLZ, also
with a fireplace and a kitchen that includes original restored baroque doors and historic ceilings, is a rustic, hut-like room that radiates warmth and traditional alpine ambiance. Dating back more than 500 years, this part of the house stood alone until Maria Theresa, Empress of Austria, united it with another smaller property.
