This is also evident in the hotel bar, which exudes the kind of cosiness Bavaria is widely known for. The elegance increases in the restaurant. Here, travellers can enjoy a sumptuous breakfast and the jaw-dropping view outside. Evenings bring menus of fresh local dishes.
The hotel rooms are designed in a variety of
ways, some modern, some in a classic country style. The sauna area’s rustic decor takes inspiration from warm, cosy Alpine huts. There is a wonderful brine and herbal mist in the steam bath, and guests can breathe in the scent of pine in the herbal sauna. Perhaps best of all is to rub yourself with powder snow in the sheltered outdoor area after a sauna session in winter. Afterwards, you can retreat to a recreation area, and sit back with a drink in hand. The various massages and treatments provide
true, feel-good pleasure. In addition to a classic massage, there are ayurvedic massages and special ones for expectant mothers, as well as treatments for teenagers. The cosmetics department stocks the organic line from Dr Spiller, while in the indoor pool, guests can swim while gazing up at the hand- bevelled wooden ceiling — an ancient carpentry technique hardly found anywhere else.
