The Hettegger host family is once again investing in its luxury resort, DAS EDELWEISS Salzburg Mountain Resort, in the heart of Salzburg. After a successful winter season, the five-star hotel underwent an extensive renovation from mid- April in order to offer guests an even higher level of comfort and quality in the future. The planned reopening of the resort is on 5 July, 2024. Couples and families can look forward to around
60 spacious and elegantly furnished suites. Located at the foot of the mountains in Austria’s Grossarl Valley, DAS EDELWEISS Salzburg Mountain Resort is the ideal retreat for active, recreational and discerning guests. With warm hospitality and commitment, the Hettegger family runs this five-star family luxury resort, which is in its third generation, and ensures a personal and cosy atmosphere throughout the hotel every day. Since 2019, guests have been enjoying a modern
building with spacious suites in the alpine style. There’s also a 75,350sq ft EDELWEISS Mountain Spa with indoor aquapark, two outdoor pools, various saunas and separate areas for families and
adults. The spa was voted number 1 in the category ‘Wellness and Spa’ by the wellness portal ‘Wellness Heaven’ in 2021. The award-winning hotel kitchen focuses on
the use of local ingredients. There are several restaurants including market square and the Sirloin Grill & Dine. The latter was awarded two glasses by the Wine Spectator magazine in 2022. Wine connoisseurs will enjoy the Kork & Gloria wine bar with fine drops and sushi variations, and Japanese dishes freshly prepared at the sushi bar. The family areas of the resort have also been
upgraded. In the Family Spa, water will again be a central focus, from the new indoor pool to the blue colour scheme. Young guests will be able to let off steam in the newly designed children’s and youth area, which has been enlarged to 10,760sq ft. The extensive range of games covers everything from a ball pit to an indoor football pitch and a trampoline by ValoJump, with interactive games function. A family holiday will be even more beautiful and spectacular from the summer of 2024.
