The Nature’s Nest spa at DAS.GOLDBERG offers a natural oasis of relaxation, no matter the season. A new heat pump plunging 6,000 meters into the ground cools the pool in summer and heats it in winter The spa has also had a face-lift, with a new cold-water pool featuring a waterfall, as well as a foam steam bath. The hotel is the only one of its kind in the Gastein


Valley and occupies a special location right on the ski slopes of Salzburgerland. There are 137 miles of pistes and 50 miles of cross-country ski trails surrounding the hotel, For those who like things a little quieter, the Gastein Valley offers paths and routes for winter hiking or snowshoeing. Hohe Tauern National Park, the largest nature reserve in the Alps, 218 miles of hiking trails. Those who prefer a gentler approach can take part in yoga and meditation sessions offered as part of a weekly programme or simply relax on the hotel’s large south-facing terrace. The 65 studios and suites, most of which boast


valley views, also offer a peaceful retreat and have been rennovated, now boasting oiled wooden floors and shading. Guests can enjoy an exclusive stay in loft suites with open-air bathtubs on the roof terraces and an indoor fireplace. Culinary delights using top-quality ingredients


are a priority at DAS.GOLDBERG. From leisurely breakfasts to fine dining, the hotel relies on regional produce. In the evening, guests are spoilt with five-course menus. The hotel will focus on vegan and vegetarian options, reflected in offerings such as the cheese and salad buffet. After dinner, take a seat in the rennovated bar area that shines in new golden splendor. The striking counter has been fashioned from old local oak with its casual front made from leather and brass pilaster strips.
