The Hotel Pashmina in Val Thorens was conceived as a luxury mountain refuge by the Gorini family, a chalet where soft materials and bright colours are blended to evoke a sense of home for all who enter. The breathtaking summit views from the rooms
and suites (ranging from 36 to 160sq metres) reflect the values of the founders: authenticity, hospitality, escape and a love for the mountains. The decor evokes memories of grand expeditions
and each piece has its own story: masterpieces from local artists, photos from Everest and Himalayan adventurers and furniture sourced from flea markets around the world. The spacious and comfortable Cosy Home
suites (featuring 1 to 4 bedrooms) are tailored for families and friends, offering an open kitchen and a communal living area. An unconventional accommodation sits atop
the hotel: a geodesic dome, reminiscent of those used in polar expeditions, allowing guests to spend a night under the stars. This Igloo-Pod, with its private hot tub, promises an unforgettable experience for every traveller.
The Aqua Pashmina space boasts a swimming
pool with a breathtaking view, plus an indoor and outdoor whirlpool bath, a Nordic bath, an old wood sauna, a steam room and sensory showers. The chef offers a gastronomic experience in
line with the Gorini family’s ethos: refined and unpretentious. The restaurant, Les Explorateurs, awarded with a Michelin star, offers a range of mountain cuisines from around the world. Elsewhere is a new space known as the Winter
Garden. It’s a highly technological heated veranda inviting guests to dine or have lunch regardless of weather conditions, amid an atmosphere of total comfort and relaxation, all while enjoying the magnificent alpine panorama. The Gorini family’s philosophy is to share the
mountain experience with guests and reveal the beauty of the mountains. Cédric Gorini regularly invites guests for introductory ski touring excursions departing from the hotel where participants can discover the Val Thorens ski area in all its majesty, relish the silence, and above all, experience the finest snow.
