Six & Six Private Islands MALDIVES
Scattered across some of the Maldives’ most compelling atolls, Six & Six Private Islands is a collection of six private islands and residences shaped by place, culture and time. Rather than following a single design template, each island is conceived as its own world, rooted in local geography and Maldivian life. Rah Gili Maldives, the first island in the
collection, sits within a protected dolphin sanctuary in the South Malé Atoll. The surrounding waters are home to a resident population of dolphins, often visible from the shoreline and lagoon throughout the year. With 74 beach and overwater villas, the island retains a sense of openness, guided by tide, light and the natural rhythm of the sea. Villas are positioned to preserve long views and privacy, allowing guests to experience the island without interruption. Within the collection, Don Maaga Maldives is
defined by scale and sculptural design. Vast beach and overwater villas open directly onto sea and sky. Beach villas, known as Terra, are grounded and architectural, while overwater Aethr villas appear
suspended above the lagoon. Slides, large pools and dedicated butlers define a stay that’s immersive rather than ornamental. Across the collection, service is shaped by
the Edhurun philosophy. Edhurun (‘mentor’ in Dhivehi) move beyond traditional butler service to become guides and storytellers, helping guests understand the island, its people and its rhythms. This reflects a wider cultural framework known as Rayyithun, or ‘People of the Islands’, which informs how teams host and connect with place. Dining throughout Six & Six Private Islands is
inspired by the Maakeyolhu — ‘Head Fisherman’s’ table. Menus draw on reef fish, yellowfin tuna, octopus and lobster, and are made with clarity and respect for origin, emphasising seasonality and the link between sea and land. The Private Residences complete the Six & Six
offering, designed for long-term immersion. Set within the same natural and cultural framework as the resorts, they offer a rare opportunity to live within the Maldives while remaining connected to its traditions, environment and pace of life.
DON’T MISS Admire the resident population of dolphins who frolic offshore and are often visible from the shoreline
