Zacosta Villa Hotel RHODES, GREECE

Hidden within the Medieval City of Rhodes, a Unesco World Heritage site since 1988, Zacosta Villa Hotel offers an intimate escape shaped by centuries of history. Named after the 15th-century Grand Master Piero Raimondo Zacosta, this six- room boutique villa is in a residential quarter just off Ippodamou Street, opposite the Hamsa Bei Mosque. Its location places travellers within easy walking distance of Socratous Street, the Knights’ Castle and the museums, tavernas and artisan shops of the Medieval City, while remaining sheltered from the bustle. The hotel blends villa living with boutique comfort, housed within a lovingly restored medieval structure where stone, wood and iron are combined with handcrafted furniture, natural toiletries and fine linens. Guests enter through a spacious Moorish-

inspired courtyard, the heart of the villa, where cushioned benches and a long table set the stage for al fresco breakfasts featuring local produce. From here, pathways lead to Zacosta’s elegant accommodation options, each shaped by the building’s original architecture.

The Giardino Suite is warm and inviting, while

the Aragon Suite, towards the rear of the property, is the only room with a private external garden, and features a bed set within a restored stone chamber. An exterior staircase leads to the first floor, where the bijou Raimondo Room overlooks the courtyard below. Across the landing, the Gran Maestro Suite offers a king-size canopy bed, generous salon and a candlelit whirlpool bath, creating a sense of spacious indulgence. Near the back of the upper level lies the Piero

Suite, considered the jewel of Zacosta. It offers a loft-style layout, views of the Knights’ Castle, the Roloi Clock Tower and the Hamsa Bei Mosque, along with a private balcony and outdoor whirlpool bath. Nearby, the Cavalieri Suite showcases a signature stone arch, tall beamed ceilings and stained-glass accents, which create a serene, minimal and atmospheric space. The result is a retreat defined by authenticity,

design and personal service. Every stay is shaped by the Zacosta experience: a gentle blend of heritage, comfort and discreet luxury.

DON’T MISS Savour a bottle of wine in the courtyard at dusk or beneath the stars after returning from an evening in the Medieval City
