CFM manufactured 42%, followed by Pratt & Whitney (29%), GE (15%), Rolls- Royce (13%) and the GE-PWA Engine Alliance (1%). Once the Boeing 737 Max is back in full production, 60% of the engines manufactured will be produced by CFM, followed by Pratt & Whitney (24%), GE (8%) and Rolls- Royce (8%).


Aerospace Military In 2021, delivery of Military Rotorcraft increased by 1.5% while delivery of Military transports declined by 2.8%. Significant growth was realized in Fighter production, which realized a 29% increase over 2020 production levels. All totaled, investment Military Aerospace casting sales increased by 15%.


Aerospace Summary North American 2021 investment casting sales serving the Commercial Aerospace sector reflected 4% growth over 2020 levels. It is anticipated that this sector will return to 2019 levels by 2023. This, combined with the growth in Military Aerospace resulted in $3.24 Billion in investment casting sales, which represents growth of 12.1% over 2020 levels for this market.


When considering the combined


forecast for 2022 sales, the Commercial sector is forecast to grow at 36% and the 2022 Budget supports Military sector growth on the order of 8.4%. Should this materialize, overall North American Aerospace investment casting sales will hit the 2019 of $4.07 Billion, 33% of which will be to the Military sector, whereas in 2019, military accounted for only 27%.
