STUDENT
Winarto Sofian is a senior studying manufacturing engineering. He is an intern as sub-final quality engineering at Glenair and has experienced working as CNC operator then QA at Redline precision. He is an officer at AMS and a member of Veteran Resource Center in Cal Poly. He is interested in casting due to the efficiency of the process in a large production quantity.
Pauline Tasci is a senior studying manufacturing engineering. She comes from a family of investment casters and has been an active participant in several metal casting competitions, engineering competitions, as well as created an on-campus casting competition. She is the Vice President of the AFS Student Chapter. She is looking to grow her casting knowledge.
Rasheed Casper is a senior studying manufacturing engineering. He has interned for Arconic in both a quality and manufacturing engineering role. He was the Design Lead and Chassis Captain for the Cal Poly Pomona Formula SAE team. He has worked on foundry design projects within his coursework specifically the use of 3D printed PLA for investment patterns.
Michael Seitz is a junior majoring in manufac- turing engineering. He is currently president of the CPP American Foundry Society student chapter. He has organized casting compe- titions and casting demonstrations in order to expose the students to what metal casting is. He looks forward to getting more involved in the metal casting industry.
Ben Speer is a senior studying manufacturing engineering technology at Pittsburg State University. He has always had an interest in investment casting. He had an internship at Caterpillar and has accepted a position in Arconic’s Engineering Training Program and will start in January 2020. He looks forward to starting his career in the investment casting industry.

Jacob Williams is a senior studying manufacturing engineering technology. He worked as an intern for General Motors Powertrain Saginaw in the pattern shop and tooling department. He recently accepted a full time position in the investment casting industry with
Arconic in their Engineering Training Program.
Slade Nordic
is a graduate student at Pittsburg State University. He has graduated with his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering Technology and is working on his masters in Engineering Technology. He has interned with Ruger, PineTree Castings as a manufacturing engineer, as well as Phillips66 as a mechanical engineer. Slade will be graduating in May 2020.
Adam Sutherland is a senior at Pittsburg State University studying manufacturing engineering technology.
He
has done an internship at Stahl Specialty Company where he worked with CNC machines and the tilt pour permanent mold casting method. He is currently the Foundry Lab Assistant PSU where he helps students with their casting projects.
