he EICF Euro Seminar 2019 was held in Helsinki, 20 to 22 of May, at the Marina Congress Center close to the Baltic Sea with the theme “Alloy Melting and Pouring – Casting Best Practice”, was a remarkable successful organized
event. The in

seminar was with
the
Association of Finnish Foundry Industry, with over 190 attendees from 20 countries
Complementing
the seminar presentations, an Exhibition was held with 31 exhibitors providing information about the latest developments in materials, equipment and services of interest of the Investment Casting Industry. Last day of the seminar was devoted to the visit of the Finnish industrial plants of Sako and Sacotec. Appreciation given by delegates and attendees through the available surveys highlighted the high quality and utility of presentations and speakers. A full thorough review to the melting and casting
process was in Aalto provided with
indication of the state of the art practice and future trends. Key note paper “Finnish foundry industry and foundry research
University” was
presented by Juhani Orkas Professor and Principal Adviser of the prestigious Aalto University and
Association
of Finnish Foundry Industries. EICF member Sacotec Components Oy represented by his Chairman Mr. Anti Zitting acted as principal host of the seminar supporting it with his personal

excellence. The Exhibition presented in 31 booths the latest advances in materials and equipment specific to Investment Casting
with a broad international
representation of industry leading companies.

Party” was held at the Old Town Hall (Empire Room) beautifully located in Senate Square, and was hosted by the City of Helsinki represented by
