Intrepid Automation just celebrated their two-year anniversary. They plan to continue to strenghten their relationships with as many foundries as they can, as well as participate in the Investment Casting Institute activities. They feel this helps build their foundation of knowledge in investment casting and future success.


Schrey & Sons Mold Co. Inc., manufacturer of wax and soluble tooling, plastic airfoil and ceramic core tooling and fixtures for the investment casting industry celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2019.

The recent graduation ceremony for the Investment Casting Institute’s Industry Certification Course was held on May 29th, 2019 and marked the 19th year of this successful program. The Investment Casting Institute would like to thank Dr. Russell Rosmait, professor of engineering technology at Pittsburg State University whom much of the success of the program is due and to the efforts of a faculty of volunteer professionals from Member Companies throughout the United States. Subjects covered during the class include the entire investment casting process from casting design and development; gating, feeding and tooling of investment castings; waxes and slurries; dewaxing and shell firing; melting and metallurgy, and casting finishing and quality control.
