Qantas has produced a sales guide for agents about its Qantas Explorer fares and will distribute it on a two-month ‘sales blitz’ visiting more than 1,000 UK agents.
The selling tool highlights the
airline’s five key gateways to Australia – Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne – along with a route map of the airline’s most popular domestic flights, to help agents plan two-week multi-centre itineraries. Steph Seymour, Qantas head of
sales for the UK and Ireland, said: “We’ve made some significant changes to our international network from London this year, changing our hub to Singapore, with connections from there to Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne, as well as our non-stop service from London to Perth. “We’ve also made connecting at
Perth easier, with international and domestic flights connecting at the same terminal. This has reduced connection times, making it easy for customers to transit through Perth. “We have a sales blitz planned

“We will be visiting as many agents as possible to share details of our incentive and campaign”
over the next few weeks, which will see the Qantas sales team out on the road. We will be visiting as many agents as possible to share details of our incentive and overall campaign, and will look to visit all of our key agents selling Australia.” The sales guide will be given
out on agency visits and distributed with Travel Weekly next month. It is available to read
on TravelWeekly’s website now. It comes as the airline launches
its biggest trade incentive of the year, in conjunction with Tourism Australia, for an agent to win a two-week holiday of their choice to Australia, with business-class Qantas flights and lots of activities. Tourism Australia has also
created a series of videos with Australian stars such as Chris Hemsworth, including a
big-budget spoof of classic film Crocodile Dundee, which will be featured in Travel Weekly’s digital
editions over the next eight weeks. › Read the sales guide at:

HOW TO SELL AUSTRALIA
There is always something new to experience in Australia. I’m fortunate to have visited about 12 times now, and each time I experience something I haven’t come across before. The beauty of the country
always surprises me, whether it is a stunning seascape, beautiful mountain range or bare desert. Let your clients know that Australia doesn’t have to be a bucket-list destination. It can and is visited many times by clients, and they can have different experiences on every visit – they don’t need to see it all in one go.
John Spy, Premier Aussie Specialist, Travel Counsellors “I definitely would
recommend the non- stop Qantas flight to my customers, purely for the ease of it all.”

fridges at the back of the plane are a great idea.” Trina Price
Dalescrest Travel “The transit
lounge was really good, and the services offered were useful for long-haul travel.”
