About the role: With our Head Office in Toronto and global offices in the UK, EMEA & APAC we are looking for an experienced professional in the air fare procurement field to complement our existing global procurement team. From entrepreneurial roots, we have significant growth ahead of us and are looking for outstanding people to come and join an established team of industry experts.
In this newly created role you will hold strategic and operational responsibility for the commercial negotiation and purchasing of global airline fares.
Your specific accountabilities will include the following (but not be limited to): •
Establish an innovative and global air fare procurement strategy. Work with key stakeholders to develop and implement the strategy in terms of systems, processes and policies.
• Manage worldwide airline partner accounts by the development of exceptional business relationships, negotiating and maximising commercial rates and tactical deals.
• Manage the entire commercial cycle of sourcing and purchasing from planning and pitch preparation to budget, forecasting, negotiation, system content and reporting.
•
Analyse sales performance of airline partners. Communicate performance together with recommendations to develop and drive opportunity.
• Proactively respond and support aviation issues that arise, liaising with internal stakeholders to adopt collaborative working to achieve successful outcomes.
• Coordinate with a small network of locally based Aviation Team Members in the Company’s regional offices.
• Coordinate airfare distribution and pricing through both GDS and global in-house system(s).
Who Are You? To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who is a phenomenal relationship builder with a strong existing network who brings a dynamic and energetic approach to the role. Your negotiation skills are second to none and your background in travel will enable you to feel like an integral part of the Kognitiv team in no time! • A proven and successful career in aviation air fare contracting / buying / procurement at a management level working for a large tour operator, business travel agency or consolidator.

Proven leadership capability and delivery-focused. Talented at building collaborative relationships.
Highly skilled communicator and expert negotiator, able to creatively use a range of influencing/negotiation skills to deliver successful outcomes
