The best of your letters, comments and social media this week EasyJet holidays: ‘Bills buster’
Story: EasyJet holidays unveils package ‘cheaper than staying in UK’ [I’d do this] all day long if I had enough leave, although it is cold in Egypt in December/January, especially at night. You’ve still got to pay your Wi-Fi and bills while you’re away, but a month of no fuel for cars, food bills or heating will definitely add up this year. Elisa El Shafei
This is nothing new. First Choice Holidays and Airtours used to offer much longer stays over the winter, such as 40-plus nights in the Canaries. It attracted retirees and it was cheap. You have to hand it to easyJet; they are trying. Robert Clarizio
Belleair: Such sad news
Story: Belleair Holidays to close after more than 40 years Caroline Bentley-Showell [Travel Finesse]: Really sad news, a lovely company. Wishing everyone at Belleair all the best. Carole Aldridge [Premier Travel]: Such a shame, another great company gone. Graham Taylor [Hays Travel]: Very sad to hear. I went on my first fam trip with them.
Victoria Jones @vicjones80 Advantage Travel Partnership Thanks so much to everyone who has commented/messaged about the news of my promotion. I’m absolutely delighted to be given the opportunity, and I also get to work with the amazing Jo Turney as a colleague!

Claire Gateley [Kuoni]: Best wishes on your new venture, Robin. We’ll miss you at Kuoni. Katie Daniels [Koveli Travel]: Congratulations Robin Griffiths. Great to see you and Brad [Bennetts] working together again. You’ll be fab.
