G Adventures adds short-haul tours in Europe and Morocco

Harry Kemble

G Adventures has unveiled a range of 10 “closer-to-home” trips in Iceland, Italy, Greece, Croatia and Morocco for 2023. The adventure tour operator

said Europe was among its top-five most-popular regions during the pandemic, and the trend had “held steady” in recent months. The new Hiking Southern

Iceland trip includes visits to Mount Laki and the 100m-deep

Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon, as well as an ice-hiking experience in Skaftafell. The six-day trip is priced from £2,099. The 13-day Best of Italy:

Tuscany, Cinque Terre & The Almafi Coast itinerary takes in a Cinque Terre town, Florence, Chianti, Sorrento and Naples. Prices lead in at £2,599. The programme also includes

seven breaks in Morocco. The Four Days in Marrakech

and a traditional dinner in the city’s famous Djemaa el Fna square. It costs from £399. Managing director Brian Young

said: “The past two years have changed the way travellers think about short-haul destinations, with many having discovered the wealth of experiences and landscapes available on our doorstep. “There’s no denying that

long-haul will continue to play a big role in UK holidaymakers’ calendars, which we’ve seen with

the success of our trips in Peru, Thailand and Costa Rica. “But there’s definitely a renewed

appetite for high-value, closer-to- home options as travellers look at ways to make their holiday money go further.” He added: “We’ve seen a rise in

achievement-based holidays, and our new shorter active trips allow travellers to get that adventure-fix without having to sacrifice too much holiday time.” sherpa.gadventures.com
