Variety to sail maiden season

Hurtigruten offers 63 excursions in coastal programme


Hurtigruten is offering 63 excursions as part of its 2023 coastal cruises programme. The excursions are split across


two itineraries – the Svalbard Express and the North Cape Express. Passengers on the Svalbard


Express itinerary, which starts on June 3, can choose from excursions such as fishing in


the Lofoten archipelago from a cutter (from €189) or hiking and birdwatching in Gjesværstappan Nature Reserve (from €269). As part of the cruise, passengers


spend two nights in Longyearbyen, where two excursions are included in the fare. For the first time, Hurtigruten


will offer the North Cape Express sailing from Oslo during the


winter. The programme will start on September 26. The excursions available


include a North Cape and King Crab Experience, during which passengers will learn about and sample crab from the Barents Sea in the Norwegian village of Sarnes. A dog-sledding excursion in
