The most successful language learners experiment with new language and make mistakes. It is much better to try and get feedback than avoid taking any risks for fear of making mistakes.

1 We use ‘after’ with ‘look’ to talk about caring for someone. 2 We use ‘a’ to introduce new information with ‘there is’. 3 We use -ing with a verb after ‘like’ or ‘prefer’. 4 The verb should be plural because the subject is plural. 5 The speaker is talking about the past so the verb should be in the past tense. 6 The speaker uses a word from their language.
