Visit a Museum Dartmouth boasts its own museum with a treasure trove of artefacts to explain Dartmouth’s rich


history (see page 28). Many other towns around South Devon also have their individual museums and are an easy drive away e.g. the Cookworthy Museum in Kingsbridge, the Totnes museum housed in an Elizabethan merchant’s house, Brixham’s Heritage Museum, the Salcombe Maritime Museum, Torre Abbey, Bygones and the Torquay Museum in Torbay and not forgetting the South Devon Railway museum at Buckfastleigh. A bit further away is the Exeter RAMM - well worth a visit.
