The above results when combined with the testing that was performed in the environmental chamber with the grease dispensing equipment and again in the field in the grease dispensing equipment; provide three ways of looking at the comparative performance of bio-based and mineral oil-based greases. In the next issue of this publication the section two of this series will report on the testing of these greases in temperature controlled environmental chamber using two grease dispensing systems from two original equipment manufacturers.
