Sébastien Mallet Joins Metalube as Product Manager for Tube, Hot Rolling & Sub-Sea Products
Metalube, a leading global manufacturer of industrial lubricants, is delighted to announce the appointment of Sébastien Mallet as Product Manager for Tube, Hot Rolling, and Sub-Sea products. Séb joins the UK commercial team at the Manchester headquarters, bringing with him over a decade of experience in the oil and lubricants industry.
With his extensive knowledge and expertise, Séb is poised to make a significant impact on Metalube’s operations and customer experience, especially in the specialised sectors of Tube, Hot Rolling, and Sub-Sea.

VBASE Oil Company Appoints Stephen Eck as Chief Operating Officer
VBASE Oil Company, a leader in sustainable synthetic ester base oils, is proud to announce the appointment of Stephen Eck as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective immediately. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, Stephen will focus on expanding market presence in 2025 through strategic business development initiatives while enhancing and optimising manufacturing capabilities to support global growth.
Stephen brings over 16 years of experience in the lubricants industry, holding key leadership roles that have shaped his expertise in product management, strategic marketing, and operational excellence. Most recently, he served as Director of Commercial Development at Industrial Oils Unlimited. Prior to this, Stephen held several senior leadership roles at The Lubrizol Corporation, including Global Senior Director of Product Management and Strategic Marketing.

Stephen’s career achievements include managing P&L responsibilities for business units, developing strategic partnerships to drive business growth, and leading global supply chain operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, with a focus on finance and entrepreneurship.
As COO, Stephen will oversee key operational and strategic initiatives, leveraging his extensive background to enhance VBASE’s market position and accelerate its growth goals. His appointment reflects VBASE’s commitment to building an experienced leadership team to drive the global expansion and further integration of VBASE’s Secondary Polyol Ester base oils into the lubricant market.
