Lubricants Live – A new podcast for the lubricants industry

Steve Mayo, former Senior Director Metalworking North EMEA and former Managing Director Europe Certas Lubricant Solutions

The Lubricants Live Podcast is dedicated to the end-to- end supply chain community in the lubricants industry hosted by industry professionals with extensive experience in the industry.

Launching January 2025, the first guest is Joris Van Der List, Q8 Lubricants and member of the UEIL and ATIEL Sustainability Committee joining host Steve Mayo to discuss the role of Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) in the journey towards a sustainable lubricants supply chain.

Lube Magazine is proud to be partnering with the Lubricants Live Podcast, in order to support its objectives of engaging with the lubricants community to share news, debating, and to provide insight into the topics of the day.

Designed to be interactive, the podcast will enable people in every size of organisation and across all levels to have a voice, share opinions for the benefit of the industry.

The podcast will bring guests from different industries with fresh perspectives and specialisms to share expertise and knowledge.

The initial series of podcasts will cover sustainability, the opportunities and challenges that this brings in an industry where volume has been deemed a KPI for success. Does growing market share volumes really help drive sustainability in the long term? What needs

to change and how can we ensure we prepare for any changes ahead?

In the first series there will also be debate on the role of customer experience in a B2B environment and the increasing importance of retaining and growing existing customers. What role will AI play in this and what is the optimum balance between, standard digital, AI and human interaction? How does a B2B business build a customer culture from top to bottom? Where are you on that journey and are you investing in your people now to drive a customer culture in your business? Guests with specialist knowledge in the customer experience arena will share insights which we believe will be invaluable.

The final topic for the first series of podcasts will be growth with experts invited to talk about their experiences and challenges of growing successful SMEs and the key things that really make a difference.

Details of series two will be released during during Q2. In the meantime, we hope you will subscribe and listen. Lubricants Live would also love to welcome offers to guest on a podcast. Let’s make this community work! The more listeners we have, the more experts we can attract to share the diversity of their knowledge with the industry.
