Editor’s Desk
What an amazing 10 months in the industry I have had! Made a few road trips to see some of you at your own sites (still road tripping, let me know if you would like me to visit you). Been to Europe for exhibitions and Congresses. My first industry event was our very own Sustainability Conference back in May, my induction into the industry. Since then I have experienced our Northern Lunch and only last week our Annual Dinner. I cannot thank you enough for welcoming me with open arms, wherever I am, wherever I go, I am always greeted with friendly smiles and great advice!
What have I learnt so far? Every person, every team is driven by net zero change and a determination to make environmental conscious decisions.
We face daily challenges such as supply, price, REACH but we also face the challenge of bringing new talent into the industry. Reaching out to young innovators and introducing them to this somewhat perceived ‘dirty’ industry. Only once you are inside, do you discover what a green and pleasant land it is. We must communicate to the outside world a unified and collaborative voice so others see what we know, lubricants are the solution and NOT the problem.
