Environmental Certification: the virtuous example of Viscolube

Viscolube is one of the main European players in waste oil re-refining and used solvent recovery and valorisation. Viscolube is also one of the main Italian players of industrial hazardous waste collection and treatment. In 2017, the Group has regenerated 180,000 t/y of waste oil producing nearly 120,000 t/y of re-refined base oil (about 30% of Italian market), it has managed 175,000 t/y of industrial waste mainly hazardous and it has recycled 90,000 t/y of used solvents, recovering almost 60% into valuable solvent products.


Viscolube has several patents for used oil regeneration and its Revivoil™ process has been licensed to several plants throughout the world.

Viscolube is constantly improving performance and quality: its technology allows for the production of high quality regenerated base oil both group I+ and group II+, whose properties are equivalent to virgin stock currently available in the market.


As a result of the most advanced technologies, Viscolube regenerated base oils are available to satisfy the increasing demand of environmentally friendly and sustainable products expressed by the lubricant industry.
