For the past three decades the ELGI Board has planned and developed their Annual General Meeting, which has consequently grown and now flourishes internationally. The meeting has become so popular, for the first time ever, parallel sessions have been scheduled, so do study the programme to ensure that you select the topics most relevant to you and your business.

In 1992, still in its infancy, the 4th ELGI AGM was held in Chester, UK, with an attendance of 120. And now, after 26 years, the ELGI has returned to the United Kingdom to host their 30th AGM with an expected turnout of 400+.

For the 2018 Annual General Meeting, the ELGI has an impressive line-up of speakers. The Key Note Speaker: Dr Philippa Cann of Imperial College will be presenting By Grease and By God: Providing a scientific basis for improved grease and bearing lubrication.

Following on, from Philippa, you will see: Dr. Jisheng E; Dr. Wilfried Bartz; Dr. Gareth Fish; Mr. Mehdi Fathi-Najafi; Mr. Joe Kaperick; Dr. George Dodos; Dr Lou Honary; and more. Who will win the BPA for 2018?

Another highlight of the ELGI AGM, is the Gala Dinner with entertainment. The ELGI Board chose ‘Shaken not Stirred’ James Bond for the theme as he is a strong symbol for London, like the red telephone boxes and London buses. Who will you be? James Bond “Just a drink. A martini, shaken, not stirred.” or M “Where the hell have you been?” or Q “What did you expect,

an exploding pen?” or Miss Moneypenny “James! Where have you been? I’ve been searching all over London for you.” or...

ELGI has also arranged a site tour of Imperial College on Tuesday afternoon at the end of the conference. See the ELGI AGM Registration Form and programme information www.elgi.org

For the continued success of the ELGI AGM, sponsorship opportunities are available. Guidelines can be requested from the ELGI carol@elgi.demon.nl

Do register for the 30th ELGI AGM in London, 21-24 April 2018 and join in with their thirty year birthday celebrations.
