KBB SHOW PREVIEW
The kbbreview interview: Howard Grindrod, VP of Hisense UK pg 32
T
EDITOR’S COMMENT IT’S SHOW TIME
he countdown is offi cially on to the two biggest events in the KBB industry calendar. Naturally I’m referring to the kbb Birmingham show taking place at the NEC on March 3-6 and our very own kbbreview Retail & Design Awards taking place alongside the show on the evening of Monday, March 4.
Inside this bumper issue, you’ll fi nd our comprehensive kbb show preview [pgs 70-118], which provides information on what key exhibitors will be doing at the show as well as
interviews with leading industry fi gures. And, if the mood in the halls of the NEC is anything like that of those we spoke to in this issue, we’re defi nitely in for a fruitful few days of collaboration and networking. The entire kbbreview team will be out in force for the duration of
the kbb show, so please do stop us and say hello if you see us around the halls. It’s the 30th anniversary of the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards this year and, without giving too much away, you can expect the event to be even more spectacular than ever. A huge thank you to all of our sponsors for your support and good luck to each and every one of our deserving fi nalists.
Elsewhere in the issue, we have an interview with Hisense UK vice-president Howard Grindrod [pgs 32-34], where he reveals how the brand is set to target the kitchen studio market with its new built-in portfolio. The importance of independent retailers is also the focus of this month’s supplier profi le [pgs 44-46] as VitrA UK’s managing director Steve Breen reveals his strategy for increasing its commitment and support for dealers. Obviously, this just scratches the surface of what’s inside the issue and, as always, it would be good to hear your views on any of this month’s news, views, interviews and features.
