EDITOR’S COMMENT
KNOWLEDGE IS POWER
ere at kbbreview we’re gearing up for this month’s InstallerSHOW, taking place at the NEC, Birmingham from June 25-27. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever and it’s going to be even more relevant to the KBB industry specifi cally as there is going to be a dedicated Installer Kitchens and Bathrooms section.
Not only will we be reporting live from the show every day, there will also be a special edition
of kbbreview Magazine available
exclusively to visitors. It’s a must attend event for the sector so I hope to see you there. For now, check out our show preview on pages 66-70 for more details and to fi nd out which brands are exhibiting. Talking of things that can’t be missed, we bring you coverage of kbbreview’s fi rst ever Retail Safari, in association with Hettich. Along with a retail consultant, we took a group of KBB retailers on a walking tour of Central London, visiting stores that are simply great retail environments. Read all about this insightful trip on pages 22-24. This month’s cover story is also a must read. For a real contrast in experience, we decided to bring together the winner of this year’s kbbreview Retail & Design Rising Star Award – Angelina Kotarska a dynamic businesswoman at the very start of her KBB career – and Special Achievement Award winner – Paul Rowland who, with 20 years’ experience of running successful bathroom retail brands, needs no introduction. It’s truly fascinating to see what lessons they learn from each other [pgs 26-28].
Elsewhere in the issue, as well as the usual industry news, views, comment and opinion, we have a trend report from EuroCucina [pgs 32-33] and an interview with RidgeWey [pgs 56-58], the winner of our New Kitchen Retailer Award.
As always, it would be good to hear your views on any of this month’s content. And, if you want to talk about some of the biggest challenges aff ecting KBB retailers at the moment, get in touch.
