The newly refurbished Mayflower Bathrooms has around 40 displays within its two-storey showroom. The retailer upgraded the showroom with its high-end brands using as many different colours to make each set unique. Each manufacturer has their own display area so that clients can buy into the brand.

The showroom is designed to engage all the senses, not just looks. Visitors often remark on the wow factor of the space and comment on the music playing and how good the showroom smells. During the last 12 months, Stone and Chrome have returned to their roots, focusing more on bathroom designs instead of kitchens.

The high-end and luxurious showroom features a variety of bathroom sets as well as kitchen, wardrobe and lighting displays. Situated in the heart of Leamington Spa city centre, the showroom first opened in 2019. The brand focuses on opulence and luxury with various creative designs on offer with striking sets.

Established in 1984 it still seeks to adapt and tweak its impressible processes to continue its financial as well as its reputational success. For example, they appointed a director to aim for net zero carbon, expanded distribution facilities to allow for holding stock during shortages, and jumped into multiple new marketing activities.

Based in Putney in South West London, Kallums celebrates ten years of business in 2023 and, while well-established, it is the willingness to explore new ways of working that really caught the eye of the judges. The team has focused strongly on sales as well as collaboration with existing clients and prospects.

The 2022 winner of this category is back in the running again and it’s not hard to see why. Laings is a hugely successful example of a large kitchen and bathroom independent retailer and it hasn’t rested on its laurels since last year’s win, with impressive management of supply chain issues and ongoing apprenticeships.

Another successful Scottish retailer enters the fray of the awards and despite its size the attention to detail it exudes really impressed the judges. In particular the focus on the experience of the customer, with new initiatives rolled out that cover every aspect of their journey from first showroom visit to design, sale and installation.
