Round-up | NEWS People ARMAC MARTIN RICHARD AND ROB MCGRAIL

Family-owned brassware specialist Armac Martin has announced that Richard and Rob McGrail have stepped into the roles of joint CEOs. The brothers take over the reins from joint managing directors Paul and Mark McGrail, grandsons of founder Harold McGrail. They both retired from the business at the end of last year. Richard McGrail (left) was previously commercial director at Armac Martin and his brother Rob was production director. Speaking exclusively to kbbreview about future plans for Armac Martin, Richard said: “We are very much about investing in our people and we are looking to refurbish our offices, invest in machinery and training. We have grown steadily over the past 10 years, but more rapidly over the past three to five years, and we are looking to continue that. Our sales have doubled between 2019 and 2022 and over half of our sales are to export. We have invested substantially in technology to improve productivity.”

Here’s a look at this month’s KBB appointments

FLOVA

BECKY WICKENS

Becky Wickens has been appointed as managing director of Flova. Wickens has been with the Flova UK team since its launch in 2012 and has held the position of general manager for the past two years. She started with the brand as a sales representative and was promoted four times before taking on the role of managing director. Wickens said: “I am incredibly excited to continue to grow and develop the brand within the UK, with aspiring plans in the pipeline. The team at Flova is something I’m most proud of. We all share the same values, and the individual growth witnessed is heart-warming. Next year, we will take the brand forward with intuitive new designs, technologies, colour finishes and new appointments that will further our brand awareness. I have always had a huge passion for product, the technical aspects, world-leading materials, quality control and customer service are just a few examples of why I love everything we do at Flova.”

KUDOS

GENNA NELSON

Kudos Showers has appointed Genna Nelson as its new retail support manager covering the North of England. Nelson joined Kudos Showers as part of its quality and technical team in 2018. After learning a lot about the company processes and the products, Nelson was offered her new role, as part of the customer support team. As retail support manager Nelson will oversee display installations for her showroom customers and ensuring that they are kept in good working order. She will be going out regularly to visit partner showrooms within the North-West.

THOMAS CRAPPER DAVID WAKEFIELD, GEOFF COCKCROFT, PETE MERSH

Thomas Crapper has hired three new business development managers. David Wakefield (left) will cover the South-West, while Geoff Cockcroft (right) will cover London and from Kent to the south coast and Dorset. Pete Mersh is covering the North of England, from the Scottish border to Staffordshire. Managing director Paul Dwyer said: “As we continue to grow, it was increasingly challenging to dedicate the time needed for visiting our deserving customers. We are happy, therefore, to welcome three new members to our team.”

MHK

ANTHONY DAVIS

MHK has appointed Anthony Davis as account manager for the North of England and Scotland. Davis said: “Whilst I have worked, for all my adult life, within the kitchen industry, the reality is that I have been involved in kitchens since I was a child. My parents were kitchen retailers, which got me involved with both showrooms and installations from a young age. This insight is invaluable when I talk to retailers, since I can speak from a position of understanding and experience. I’m really looking forward to working closely with the MHK UK team to help increase membership in key areas.”
