TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT Updates New mentoring profile database

IHEEM is pleased to announce the forthcoming launch of a new mentoring profile database, designed to make it simpler for members to connect with experienced professionals and access tailored advice throughout their careers. The new online resource will feature dedicated profile pages, enabling members to browse a diverse network of healthcare engineering and estates professionals, learn about their areas of expertise, and identify the individual best suited to their career aspirations and professional objectives. Those participating in the scheme will be able to provide technical insight, help members define both short and long-term career goals, and offer valuable advice to encourage professional growth. Each profile will include details of the individual’s professional background, specialist areas, registration status, and the types of assistance they can provide. This information will help members make informed choices when selecting the most appropriate adviser. Members will also be able to contact participants directly through the platform, making it easier to establish productive mentoring relationships aligned with their professional ambitions.

Whether members are seeking assistance with professional registration, or advice when preparing an Authorising Engineer (AE) application, the platform will provide access to professionals with relevant expertise and practical experience. Further details, including the launch date and information on how to access the profiles, will be announced soon.

Recently Accredited Sujesh Arayambeth – EngTech

“Achieving EngTech registration through IHEEM is a proud moment in my life and a significant milestone in my healthcare engineering career. The support and guidance provided by the IHEEM team throughout the process were exceptional and greatly appreciated. This achievement motivates me to continue working towards my next goals of IEng registration and Authorising Engineer accreditation.”

Leigh Kowalski – AE (V)

“I am delighted and proud to have been accepted onto the IHEEM Register of Authorising Engineers (Ventilation). The process was demanding but genuinely rewarding – particularly the opportunity to reflect on the experiences and people that have shaped my career. The interview was inevitably nerve-racking, but the panel quickly put me at ease and made it an enjoyable experience. A special thank you must also go to Karen and Lynn, who were brilliant and extremely accommodating when trying to deconflict so many diaries!”
