"The secretariat was working hard on the authorisation. But we saw some points that could be detrimental. So we had to slow down and review the model, to be able to proceed safely."

Betsson Group will be providing the technology, operational, and marketing support and its know-how on online gaming. “We will start working on the technical implementations that are required for the market so that operations will be able to commence soon afterward. We will launch under our flagship brand, Betsson, and our goal is to start with our proprietary sportsbook, casino, and live casino offerings,” added Jesper Svensson.
Online gambling is still relatively new for Argentina, but its land-based counterpart is a very mature market. Founded in 2005 and part of Grupo Mautone, Casino de Victoria is one of the leading land-based operators in the country.
