Colorado Cripple Creek’s new games and betting limits

Casinos in Cripple Creek in Colorado will be allowed to offer new games and unlimited betting limits after a new law was passed by the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission.

Te 12 casinos will now be allowed to offer 11 versions of baccarat, three forms of keno, big 6 wheel, new versions of poker, blackjack and roulette, as well as a variety of side bets. Players in Crippled Creek had previously been limited to single bet limit of $100. Tis brings them in line with casinos in Black Hawk and Central City, which saw the new laws approved in December.

Cripple Creek Interim City Administrator Ray White said. "Casinos won’t have to come back to council for approval every time the commission approves new

games. Several casino owners said they had never heard of some of these games. Of course, it’s up to them to decide which new games they will offer."

Matt Andrighetti, General Manager of the Wildwood Casino in Cripple Creek, said: "It is a win for Cripple Creek. It will help advance the gaming industry, but it is not the Messiah of changes. It will help bolster Cripple Creek as a gaming destination both in Colorado and nationwide.”

Sean Demeule, General Manager of the Ameristar Casino Resort and Spa in Black Hawk, added: “Tis is not a game changer for us. I don’t expect it to grow revenue by hundreds of millions of dollars every year. It just allows us to have some parity with neighbouring states.”
