Plastotecnica, founded in 1976, is a manufacturer of flexible polyethylene (PE) packaging. It has two plants – in Pernumia and Bagnoli di Sopra – and a joint venture with subsidiary ReFilm, in which it holds a 51% stake. The company has seen a 15% rise in sales in the first half of the year – with exports accounting for 32%. Based on this, it expects sales of around €200 million in 2026.
Product lines:
The company produces many PE film products including barrier and stretch film, which are available in several grades. Its BiOne range is available as both barrier and laminated film and is designed to be easier to recycle. In one instance, blown coextruded film (made of LDPE and EVOH) is designed for converters and packaging companies handling sensitive products. It is available in thicknesses of 30-200 microns. Meanwhile, its SkinLite range is ultra-thin PE stretch film for hand or machine application with a prestretch of 300% – or 350% for its SkinLite FX.
Factory locations:
The company has two manufacturing facilities, in Pernumia and Bagnoli di Sopra. It also has a joint venture with subsidiary ReFilm in Occhiobello – which produces certified post-consumer recycled plastic from used packaging that is then used to make new products.
