hour, the system can operate with one continuous extruder without a cascade configuration. The new LF 812 laser filter is available either as a single version, or as a twin configuration for more demanding applications. Another new feature is the integration of its Lock & Change system for changing screens during operation in the Endurance filter – which handles the pre-filtration of heavily contaminated input streams such as unwashed materials. Lock & Change makes it possible to change the screen during operation without interrupting production.

Collin Lab & Pilot Solutions presented its Polytest Line pressure filter test AFT MP at K2025. The device includes automatic screen change in
live operation. During the filter change, extruder and melt pump continue to operate. A filter magazine for up to 20 filter cassettes guarantees constant operation of the pressure filter test. The test system can, for example, be used for standard- ized pressure filter tests or for quality control. Its sister company, India-based NGA Plastic
Technology, launched the Britas Asia Easy Line ABMF-0300-05 automatic belt melt filter at the show. The Britas Asia filter is designed for smaller

throughputs and enables the production of high-quality regranulate. It is based on Britas technology, but was simplified for the Easy Line series. Features include low operating costs and fully automatic operation. The device is manufac- tured in India. In addition, its Easy Line pressure filter test FT was seen in live operation. This is used to test pigment or additive dispersion and detect con- taminations in virgin and recycled polymers. This can lead to reduced downtime, fewer staff require- ments and a high level of operational safety. The filter test is manually operated.

At K2025, German filtration specialist Gneuss presented the RSFgenius 330L, one of the largest screen changers in its flagship RSFgenius series with an active filtration area of 2,150 cm2
. The company says the RSFgenius series offers
reliable filtration performance even with highly contaminated recycling materials and sensitive applications and ensures a steady melt pressure even when processing recycled material thanks to its highly efficient, automatic, integrated self-clean- ing system. The filter elements can be automatically cleaned in situ up to 400 times and filter elements as fine as 10 microns (1.200 mesh) can be applied. Retrofitting a fully automatic RSFgenius to an
existing extrusion line, whether in a pelletising, sheet, fibre, or pipe application, permits the use of more contaminated material and/or the use of finer screens without disrupting the process or reducing production yield. Three further Gneuss screen changer ranges
were represented; the SFXmagnus, SFneos and KSF. The SFXmagnus is a process-constant screen changer for a wide range of applications, the SFneos is a more specialised screen changer which offers a high level of process and pressure-stability enabling it to cover a huge range of applications where self-cleaning is not necessarily required, while the KSF range is process-constant and designed with sensitive polymers in mind.

Maag launched several new technologies at K, including several in filtration. “At K2025, we will show how technical excel- lence and smart design are transforming plastics processing,” said Ueli Thuerig, president of Maag. The company introduced double-stage filtration for polymer recycling. Its BRF coarse melt filter
