Sparkling Ice® made by Talking Rain Beverage Company® gave back $400,000 to unsung heroes through various initiatives including the Cheers to Heroes contest, a donation to the Honor Flight Network, and by creating moments to surprise and delight everyday consumers. The Cheers to Heroes contest was created to thank and celebrate local community heroes, who continue to work on the front lines to support the country. “Over the last few months, our entire country has come together to fight on the front lines and support one another as we face the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Chris Hall, CEO of Talking Rain. “As a company, it is our mission to support and give back to those who need it most, especially in these trying times.”

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, The KIND Foundation, a charitable organization established by KIND Snacks, launched Frontline Impact Project. The platform matches healthcare workers and first responders with donated products, including food, beverages and personal care items, as well as mental health and wellness services. With support from more than 60 partners, including Unilever, Extra Gum, Keurig Dr Pepper, Kabaki Tea, RISE Coffee, ZICO, Justin’s, Hint, Harry’s and Image Skincare, the project aims to ease stress and bring levity to frontline workers’ days. To date, KIND and its partners have donated more than 3.7 million products across 42 states. In the words of one beneficiary, “There is a big smile beneath my mask.” As frontline workers’ needs change, so too will available donations. FEEDING BOLD HEROES


To thank firefighters across the nation for their hard work and unwavering community dedication, Cargill teamed up with TGI Fridays and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to create a Bold Heroes initiative. Bold Heroes is designed to provide firefighters with TGI Fridays frozen beef patties, condiments and grilling supplies, so they can host station cookouts during the busiest times. For Independence Day 2020, over 250 fire stations in Connecticut received grilling supply packages through the Bold Heroes initiative. TGI Fridays frozen beef patties can be found in the freezer section.
