Heroes Five high school students in Canada parked their school bus safely and administered first- aid to their driver, after he suffered a medical emergency while behind the wheel. The teenagers were recently recognized for their heroic behavior. stnonline.com/go/4w.


Italy is offering citizenship to a 13-year-old


Egyptian boy after he alerted police that his school bus driver had kidnapped 51 children and several adult chaperones during a field trip on March 20. The school bus driver forced the adults to zip-tie the students, then he threatened to burn everyone on board alive. The boy, Ramy Shehat, pretended to pray in Arabic while he secretly called his father and told him of the attack. Police soon arrived, and the driver set the bus ablaze, but everyone on board was rescued without injury. stnonline.com/go/4x.


Lee County School District in Alabama continues to be impacted


by the devastating tornado that swept across two-thirds of the region earlier this year. Additional school bus routes are now necessary. Those new routes are expected to continue through the beginning of next school year, due to the displacement of students and their families. stnonline.com/go/4y.
