Residual contamination beneath coatings can affect adhesion, re- duce coating integrity and poten- tially trap corrosive residues against the assembly surface. Precision cleaning before coating therefore plays an important role in supporting long-term perform- ance and reliability. Clean assemblies also sup-
port more reliable inspection and testing. Residues left on PCBAs can interfere with automated in- spection systems, electrical test- ing and failure analysis, making contamination control important throughout the manufacturing process, not only at the final cleaning stage.
